Acidable is a turntable, which uses the acid of freshly pressed orange juice to control different sound samples. Sweeter oranges will give the user other samples than sour oranges. It also can happen that with a bag of oranges the user will never be able to experience all the redefined sound samples. By playing with turntable the user also produces fresh orange juice in the meantime.

The Acidable uses a ph-sensor, potentiometers, rotary encoders and an Arduino board to communicate with Max/Msp. By pressing an orange on the squeezing machine the ph-sensor will measure the acidity of the fruit and would start triggering a music sample. By turning the oranges the encoders will react to the movement and each squeezer will change the music sample in a different way modifying the pitch, speed and the volume.
